Hell’s Knights by Bella Jewel (Hell’s Knights #1)

Book description from goodreads.com

Addison has had a hard life. Her mother is useless, and her father hasn’t been in her life for years. When her mother dies, she’s left with no money and an angry man after her. She goes to the only person she knows can take care of her right now – her father. She knows her father is the President of an MC club, but she doesn’t quite realize just how much she will come to rely on that club.

Cade is everything she knows she should stay away from, and yet she can’t seem to keep herself from wanting him. He’s the club VP, gorgeous, rugged, charming and he makes her feel again. She should be running, she should be escaping the demons of her past, but instead she finds herself falling for the gorgeous biker.

Come on this whirlwind romance with two broken people, who figure out how to put each other back together.

My rating:

3.5 stars

My review:

Hell’s Knights is book 1 in a new series by Bella Jewel.  This book is about Addison, a 21-year old girl whose mother dies of a drug overdose, leaving her with nothing but her mother’s pimp coming after her.  She hasn’t seen her father since she was 4, and since she has nowhere else to go, she goes to him.

Her father, Jackson, is the President of Hell’s Knights motorcycle club.  He welcomes his daughter, but they but heads at first, because Addison doesn’t take well to the bikers “its my way or the highway” attitude.  There, she also meets Cade, VP of the MC, tall, dark and handsome.

This book is pretty intense.  Addison is raped by her mother’s pimp, Jasper, from the time she is 13.  After her mother’s death, she leaves town, but her mother owes Jasper money, so he is looking for her.

In the meantime, Cade and Addison spend more time together and develop feelings for each other.  The sex scenes are interesting and intense.

The end of the book is good.

My recommendation:

Overall, this was a good story, but it deals with some pretty heavy duty topics, so if you don’t like drugs, prostitution and rape, you may want to stay away from this one.
