My review:

Book 3 in the Sullivan series is about firefighter Gabe.  While I loved Gabe, I didn’t love Megan, the heroine, though I LOVED her little girl.  For that reason, I’m only giving 3 1/2 stars.

Gabe rescues Megan and her daughter, Summer, from a burning building.  Megan discovers that Gabe was injured during the fire and in the hospital, so she and her daughter go to visit him to thank him for saving their lives.  They are both instantly attracted to each other, but Megan’s husband died in a plane crash and she is dead set against being with anybody who has a dangerous job.  Likewise, Gabe doesn’t like to date people he’s rescued.

It turns out that Megan and Gabe’s sister Sophie were friends in college, and Sophie invites Megan and Summer to a Sullivan family outing.  Megan ends up with a flat tire, and Gabe ends up driving her.  While at the family gathering, Gabe’s brother Zach keeps hitting on Megan, pissing Gabe off.  Zach offers to help Megan with her flat tire, and does.

Meanwhile, Summer has discovered that Gabe is going skiing, and convinces her mom to take her to the exact same place that Gabe is going.  Summer also runs into one of her friends from school and ends up spending the night with her, giving Megan the evening to herself.  Gabe is hanging out with his brothers and friends when he discovers that Zach fixed Megan’s tire, at which point he storms over to her room to announce that she is “his”.  They end up in bed together – steamy.

I loved Gabe and Summer, I really did. I found Megan and her refusal to look past Gabe’s job very annoying.  I continue to love the Sullivan’s and will keep reading on!
