This is my second installment in my Man Crush Monday meme. Since I read mostly romance, I thought I’d share some of my “book crushes” with you, and possibly introduce you to some new reading material.
My Man Crush Monday for this week is Max Leokov from Sugar Rush by Belle Aurora.
Summary from goodreads.com: Max Leokov has watched the people around him find love.
At one point in life, he not only wanted that, but lived for it.
He loved once. He loved with all his heart.
His heart broken, he was left to care for his young daughter.
He deserves a second chance.
Helena Kovac has spent years studying.
She has worked her ass off to get her degree.
She doesn’t have time for love. Hell, she doesn’t have time to mess around, even.
Books and work are her life. Everything else comes second.
When Max and Helena join forces to help his daughter, Ceecee, they are shocked at the spark between them.
When love hits, it hits hard. And sometimes, love hurts.
Max’s story was the third in the Friend-Zoned series, but he was present in the two books before his, especially book one, which was about his brother Nik. Max was such an amazing guy. He was a single father to a young woman in a wheelchair. Ceecee was the coolest little girl around, and her dad was the reason. Her mother was gone, and it was just her and Max, until Helena came around. I cannot recommend this series highly enough, and Nik will likely make this meme one week, but given Max’s fierce loyalty and protection of his daughter, he’s my favorite guy of the series.
