This is my tenth installment in my Man Crush Monday meme. Since I read mostly romance, I thought I’d share some of my “book crushes” with you, and possibly introduce you to some new reading material.
My Man Crush Monday for this week is Mack “Gavin” Mackenzie from Shine, Not Burn by Elle Casey.
Synopsis from goodreads.com: Andie Marks, known as “Party Girl” in her college days, is now a whip-smart lawyer on the fast track to success. Determined to move on from a bad break-up, she joins her girlfriends for a wild bachelorette weekend in Las Vegas, promising to let her hair down just this once.
Vegas is a blur of cocktails and blackjack, and in the middle of it all she meets Mack, a real-life cowboy with a winning hand and an irresistible body. They get lucky in the casino and luckier back at the hotel, a hot night of passion that was definitely not part of Andie’s life plan.
By dawn Mack is gone and all she has to remember their one-night romance is a hangover and a pile of casino chips. Or so she thinks…
Mack meets Andie on his first night in Vegas and he’s instantly smitten with her. Mack is a cowboy who runs a ranch in Baker City, Oregon. He waits the next morning to hear from Andie, but she never contacts him. Mack was such an awesome guy. He took what he wanted and I loved it. This book sat on my kindle for a long time before I read it, and I really regret that. This was a great book with a great male lead, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
