Ok, I’m going to tell you up front that there will be a spoiler in this review. I am sorry, I can’t help it.
Crazy for Her is the story of Dani Prescott, whose husband Evan died in the war. His best friend, Logan Kincaid, promised Evan he would take care of Dani as he lay dying in his arms. He also tells Logan that Dani is pregnant.
Fast forward two years (I think). Dani calls on Logan because she has a stalker. Logan comes to her aid – because he’s been secretly in love with her forever. You see, Logan was with Evan when he met Dani – but he let his friend have her (so noble). Dani is taking care of her baby, who can say words (but is still being breastfeed; so the baby is a genius or the mom doesn’t want to stop breastfeeding). Slowly, Logan’s resolve begins to diminish where it comes to Dani.
Ok, this is where I’m going to get spoily. At the 42% mark of the book, Logan reveals that HE IS A VIRGIN. I literally laughed out loud. 31 years old, hunky Navy Seal and he’s a virgin. Why? Well, he has “dirty blood”. See, his mom was a druggy whore, who brought different men home every night. Logan was afraid he was tainted. If that’s not dumb enough…..
It turns out Dani’s stalker is her dead husband’s twin brother, whom he didn’t know he had, whom is in a cult. Yes, that’s right. Just so dumb. I liked Logan’s sister Maria, who the next book is about, so I’m going to give that book a try. If it’s as bad as this one, I won’t read on.
