Goodreads Summary
If anyone ever said being an adult was easy, they hadn’t been one long enough.
Diana Casillas can admit it: she doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing half the time. How she’s made it through the last two years of her life without killing anyone is nothing short of a miracle. Being a grown-up wasn’t supposed to be so hard.
With a new house, two little boys she inherited the most painful possible way, a giant dog, a job she usually loves, more than enough family, and friends, she has almost everything she could ever ask for. Except for a boyfriend. Or a husband. But who needs either one of those?

Review
This book is correctly named – Wait for It – because my god, this book was a slow burner!!!
Diana is a single “mom” – she’s raising her two nephews on her own and doing the best she can. She moves to a new neighborhood, and moves across the street from a woman named Miss Pearl and a man named Dallas. Turns out Dallas coaches a travel baseball team with his cousin Trip – and Josh, Diana’s nephew, wants to make the team.
This book is #1 in the romance category, but it’s not really a romance. It’s a great story about a woman who loves with everything she has. Diana was a really amazing character. Blunt, loving and giving, she was kind to almost everyone and a good friend. Her mother was a piece of work – didn’t like her at all.
You don’t know for a LONG time who the love interest is going to be. I won’t spoil it. The story is very sweet, and I loved both of the kids in the story. My only complaint would be that the book was too long and to slow in the beginning, but overall it was a good book.
Happy reading.
