Book Review – Until Ashlyn by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Goodreads Summary

Dillon Keck knew Ashlyn Mayson was drunk when she suggested they get married. He until-ashlynknew he should have taken her back to their hotel room and put her to bed. Instead, he did what he had been craving to do since the moment they met.   Claim her as his.

Waking up married in Vegas isn’t something Ashlyn Mayson ever thought would happen to her. Having Dillon, her boss, a man she thinks is a dick, insist they stay married is absurd, but every time he touches her, she gets lost in him and wonders if maybe they are meant to be together.   But someone isn’t happy for Dillon and Ashlyn and their new found romance, and they’re willing to do anything to keep them apart. Even commit murder.

Review

Until Ashlyn is the third book in the Until Her series, which is a spinoff of the Until series starring her uncles and parents.

Ashlyn works at a dental office, run by Dillon Keck.  Dillon has to attend a convention in Las Vegas and wants Ashlyn to attend with him.    When Ashlyn arrives in Las Vegas, she is told by the hotel that she is sharing a room with Dillon.  She goes to the room, and upon walking in, finds Dillon naked.  Dillon informs Ashlyn that he’s made dinner reservations; Ashlyn informs Dillon that she’s going to get wasted.  She does just that…and more.

When she wakes up the next morning, she is in bed with Dillon and married.  Ash knows her family is going to be pissed – especially her father, Cash.  Her parents are out of town for a few weeks, so she doesn’t tell them she’s married.  Plus everyone thinks Dillon is engaged to someone else.  That story was pretty stupid to be honest.

In typical ARR fashion, the heroine is in danger.  Why Ash was in danger was pretty stupid and hard to believe, but in the grand scheme of things, it was a very small part of the story.  These books are pretty predictable, but I’m so invested in the Mayson family that I don’t care.

I apologize for my absence recently.  It’s been pretty busy with the holidays, but I hope to be back in the swing of things soon.

Happy New Year!
