4 out of 5 stars
Book 2 of the Need You series focuses on brother Walker Lund. Walker doesn’t work in the family business at Lund Industries – he’s in construction. He’s out at a bar when a complete stranger walks up to him and kisses him. Not a peck – a full out get hard kiss. They end up talking and Walker overhears someone call her Amelia. He asks Amelia for her number, and she gives him her old number.
Turns out Amelia is really Trinity. Her name is Trinity Amelia. She gave the fake name to a few guys who were bugging her – she never told it to Walker. She gave him her old phone number by mistake, but they ended up working together at a community theater – Trin as an artist and Walker building sets.
They again start talking and hit it off. There relationship moves pretty fast, but Walker is seriously one of the most patient guys ever. He gets that Trinity is an artist and tends to get lost in her work. He respects that and gives her the space she needs to work. Loved that about him.
One thing I didn’t love with Trinity’s friends/family. Her father isn’t really a part of her life, and she has a “step-monster” who she doesn’t really get a long with. Her art friends are all a bunch of dicks, most especially her friend Ramon. He was an unnecessary character who I didn’t care for at all.
I love the Lund’s. They are a tight group and very close; this includes cousins. I love that. I thought Brady was a good guy, but Walker is even better. So kind and patient. Just an all-around good guy. I love this series and will for sure continue reading.
