Review

It’s been a while since I’ve read a true alpha male, and anyone who has read any book about the Mayson’s knows they are all alpha males. Even the men the daughters marry are alphas. So Sage is no exception, even though he’s not a Mayson by blood.

Kim Cullen has captured the eye of Sage Mayson. She works at a salon with Ellie, Jax’s wife. Sage was attracted to her for a while, and one night, they ended up together. Then Kim’s identical twin sister Kelly played Sage, by posing as Kim and trying to bilk him for money. Sage was furious and told Kim to go f*&^ herself.

Kim was adopted at birth, and grew up a loving home. Her sister Kelly grew up with their birth mother, who was a drug addict. Kelly herself was an addict. She ended up being murdered and turned to Sage, who found out the truth, and tried to apologize to Kim on multiple occasions.

From that point on, Kim and Sage are pretty much inseparable. Sage goes all alpha on Kim, and she goes along. Sage has felt his boom (when you meet “the one”).

This book didn’t follow the pattern of the prior books in the series, which I greatly appreciated. Kim had some issues she hid from Sage, which did not go over well with Sage. He lost his shit, which led to some drama.

I absolutely love the Mayson family. I hope all the kids get their own book. I will read them all. And I would recommend you read them too.

Happy reading.
