Good morning lovelies! There are no Friday memes (it seems) anymore. I used to participate in one called Fave Five Friday that seems to have disappeared, so I’m bringing it back, with the hopes that my fellow bloggers will enjoy it and share their own favorites. This will not be limited to just books/blogging. I will expand to TV and movies as well.
This week, I’m starting easy and doing my five favorite books of all time.
Sheri’s Five Favorite Books of all time
Sphere by Michael Crichton. I have never read a book that kept me as riveted as this book did. There was a movie made from this book that I refused to watch, because I knew it would be awful. I read this book 25 years ago and I remember staying up until 2 in the morning to finish it, it was that good.
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I read this in high school and was riveted by the story. The racism is disgusting but the lessons that Atticus was able to teach his children was priceless.
Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley. I was very late to the Rock Chick craze, but I’ve devoured the series. Rock Chick, featuring Indy and Lee still ranks as my favorite. Lee often makes my list of book boyfriends.
Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah. This story about two estranged sisters who learn about their estranged mothers history is so beautiful. I can’t praise this book enough. I’d highly recommend it if you haven’t read it.
Making Faces by Amy Harmon. I read this book five years ago but I remember it like I read it yesterday. Beautifully written story with flawed characters you will remember forever. This book is a must read.
What are your favorite books?
If you would like to participate, please leave a copy to your post in the comments. If you have ideas on future topics, I’d love to hear them!
Happy weekend.
I also love To Kill A Mockingbird!! I read it in high school as well, such an eye opening book. I’ll have to check out Sphere- I read Jurassic Park over the summer and I loved it, Crichton is such a fantastic writer.
Yes, I read all his early stuff and it’s great
To Kill A Mockingbird has been on my TBR for ages! Hopefully I’ll get round to reading it soon. Great post😊
Thanks:)
To Kill a Mockingbird is in my top favorites. LOVED it. Still haven’t read anything by Crichton even though he is on my TBR. Hopefully I will get around to him sooner rather than later.
He’s amazing
