career started in an attempt to get the outrageously alpha men who resided in
her head to leave her alone and has blossomed into an opportunity to share her
stories with readers all over the world.
Nobody writes an alpha like Aurora Rose Reynolds. I love these Mayson boys (and those boys who aren’t Mayson’s by blood) and I was not disappointed with Until Cobi.
Cobi is the son of Liz and Trevor. He’s a detective and he’s called to a crime scene that involves his cousin Harmony (Nico’s daughter) and a woman named Hadley, who put herself in harms way to help Harmony when she was being chased by a crazy person with a gun. She ended up getting hurt, and Cobi instantly becomes possessive of her.
Hadley has had a rough life. She grew up with drug addicted, alcoholic parents who showed her no love or compassion growing up. She has her best friend, Brie, and Brie’s fiance, Kenyon. That’s it. Until she meets Cobi – or until Cobi inserts himself into her world. They went to high school together, but Cobi was a few years older, and didn’t remember Hadley.
In a normal ARR Mayson book, there is a kidnapping. That didn’t happen in this one. The drama surrounding Hadley was actually kind of different and refreshing, and surprisingly believable.
I loved that Hadley so quickly became ingrained with the Mayson’s. They all accepted her and made her see what a real family was like. I love seeing the “original” Mayson boys (Trevor and Nico). There are a still a LOT of Mayson’s who don’t have a story, so I’m hoping they all get book too!!
This was a good book, a quick read, and I would recommend it.
