I have always loved 80’s movies and when I saw this tag on Kritin’s blog I knew I had to do it! So much nostalgia!

A book that kept you up all night
Sphere by Michael Crichton.

This is my all time favorite book, and I’m terrified to re-read it, because I feel if I do, I won’t use it as much.

A WONDERFULLY quotable book
The Godfather by Maria Puzo

Ok, I’m cheating a little bit here, because I’ve never read this, but I’ve seen the movie a bunch of times.
“Leave the gun, take the canoli.”
“Revenge is a dish that tastes best when served cold.”
“I’m going to make them an offer they can’t refuse.”

A character who loves breaking the rules
Ellen James

She mostly breaks her own rules. This book is lol hilarious!

A couple that took an eternity to get together
Vanessa & Aiden from the Wall of Winnipeg and Me

Let’s be honest though…this could be any Mariana Zapata novel.

A book involving time travel
The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.
Pretty much the only book I’ve ever read with time travel lol.

A character with a unique style
India Savage from Rock Chick

A book with a trip that doesn’t go as planned
The Mother Road by Meghan Quinn

This book is about a cross country toad trip and it’s utterly hilarious!

A book with the central character’s name in the title
Axel by Harper Sloan

The entire series is named after the main character.

A female character who comes out of her shell
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

Stella’s journey is so beautiful. I highly recommend reading it.

A death that took you by surprise
Making Faces by Amy Harmon

Bailey was one of my all time favorite characters.

An ending that left you both happy and sad
Sometimes Moments by Len Webster

Don’t read this outside of your home. You will regret it, like I did (I read on the train; big mistake)
Tag, you’re it! Feel free to have some fun!
