5 stars
There is one reason I gave this book 5 stars, and that is the hero, Lucas! He was such an amazing guy with the patience of a saint!
Addyson meets Lucas in a bar one night, and has decided she’s given up men. Lucas doesn’t seem to care. He knows Addy is “his difference”. He just has to prove it to her. Addy has her work cut out for her though, because her best friend has instant chemistry with Lucas’s best friend, Justin.
I don’t know if I’ve read a guy as patient as Lucas. There were times throughout the book I yelled at Addy to get over herself. Yes, you’ve had bad luck, but not all guys are bad, and Lucas, you could tell from the beginning was such a great guy.
I also loved Harper and Justin, and would have liked to read them in their own story, but I get why the author used them in this one. It was to help Addy realize that she’d met her knight in shining armor, and he truly was.
The usual “relationship drama” was a little annoying in this book, and Addy jumped to some pretty insane conclusions, but overall, I very much enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
