Title: Boss Man Bridegroom
Author: Meghan Quinn
Rating: 5 stars
Where I got it: Kindle Unlimited
“Will you do me the greatest honor of all time and be my bridegroom?” she asks, hope in her eyes . . .
How did I get here? My assistant, bent on one knee, holding my hand, her expectant face waiting for an answer.
Just . . . how?
How did I go from being insulted by Charlee Cox to hiring her to be my assistant? How is it that she’s chaos in color – making me crazy and my life better at the same time?
I never thought I would be staring down at her bright blue eyes begging me to go along with this ridiculous scheme I suggested.
Yes, I suggested. Like the idiot I am, I thought hey, why not start an HR nightmare and have my assistant ask me to marry her?
Confused? Don’t worry, so am I.
But try to follow along, because this is how I became Boss Man Bridegroom.
Oh my god, I loved this book SO much. This is the second time in a January that Meghan Quinn has given me a book I just love so much. (The first was Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn – highly recommend).
This is an office romance, boss/assistant to lovers story and it was perfect. Charlee is a breath of fresh air. She was such an original character. I was able to relate to her – I’m an Executive Assistant as well – just not to a billionaire with housing provided lol. She’s bright, colorful and hilarious. There are so many laugh out loud moments in this book, I lost count.
Rath, on the other hand, was not a breath of fresh air. He was uptight, rigid and sometimes kind of a dick to Charlee. He also was kind and funny, outside of the office, and had a very interesting bromance with his best friend, Bram. Bram, who happens to be engaged to Rath’s sister. That made for an interesting dynamic.
If I had one criticism, I would say it’s that the book was a little long, and I found myself getting a little bored a few times. But overall, this book was fun and funny and I would highly recommend this one.
