Man Crush Monday

Man Crush Monday #12

This is my 12th installment in my Man Crush Monday meme.  Since I read mostly romance, I thought I’d share some of my “book crushes” with you, and possibly introduce you to some new reading material.

My Man Crush Monday for this week is Asher Mayson from Until November by Aurora Rose Reynolds.

Summary from goodreads.comNovember is looking forward to getting to know her father and the safety of a small town. After leaving the Big Apple and her bad memories for Tennessee, November starts working for her dad at his strip club doing the books. The one until novembertime she’s allowed there during club hours she runs into Asher Mayson. He’s perfect until he opens his mouth and makes assumptions. November wants nothing to do with Asher but too bad for November, fate has other plans.

Asher Mayson has never had a problem getting a woman, that is until November. Now all he can think about is making November his and keeping her safe.

Asher Mayson was the first of the Mayson Boys (and their friends) to get a book, and what a way to start a series.  Asher is an alpha male in EVERY way imaginable – in such a good way.  There are 5 books in this series and a spin-off series that I haven’t read, but they are on my TBR.  This is a great series.  Check it out on goodreads by clicking here.

Happy reading.

This is my 11th installment in my Man Crush Monday meme.  Since I read mostly romance, I thought I’d share some of my “book crushes” with you, and possibly introduce you to some new reading material.

My Man Crush Monday for this week is Axel Reid from Axel by Harper Sloan.

Summary from goodreads.comFate hasn’t always been friends with Isabelle West. In fact, fate has been a downright bitch. Isabelle has learned the hard way how hard life can be axelwhen fate isn’t by your side. It can hand you dreams on silver platters, but it can snatch them right back and hand you nightmares. One thing Isabelle knew for sure fate was consistent with was taking away everything she ever loved.

For the last two years Isabelle has been slowly clearing the clouds of her past. Happiness is finally on the horizon. She has a thriving business, great friends, and her life back. All she has to do is jump over the last hurdle…her ex-husband. When problems start causing her to fear her new life, and memories that are better left forgotten start rushing to the surface the last thing she needs is a ghost from her past to come knocking on her door.

Axel never thought he would look into the eyes of Isabelle West again, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to now. He’s carried his anger for so long he isn’t sure he can just turn it off, but when he is faced with protecting her and an unexpected desire to have her again, life gets a little more complicated.

Axel, Axel, Axel.  I love a good second chance romance novel, and this didn’t disappoint.  Axel is one of the owners of Corps Security and a former Marine.  Isabelle was the love of his life and their relationship ended badly.  Years later, they end up meeting again and it doesn’t go well.  But things change, and so does Axel.  Axel is fiercely loyal and protective of those he cares about.  Despite his initial feelings for Isabelle, things change quickly and Axel stays a fierce alpha male.  Absolutely loved him and all the other guys in the series.  Highly recommend.

This is my ninth installment in my Man Crush Monday meme.  Since I read mostly romance, I thought I’d share some of my “book crushes” with you, and possibly introduce you to some new reading material.

My Man Crush Monday for this week is Carter James from Sincerely, Carter by Whitney G.

Summary from goodreads.com:  Just friends. We’re just friends.  No, really. She’s just my best sincerely, carterfriend…

Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we “hated” each other. We’ve been there for one another through first kisses, first “times,” and we’ve been each other’s constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other…)

Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we’ve never crossed the line.

Never thought about it. Never wanted to. Until one night changed everything.
At least, it should’ve …  Just friends. We’re just friends.  I’m only saying this until I figure out if she’s still “just” my best friend…

I love a good friends-to-lovers story and Sincerely, Carter did not disappoint.  Carter and Arizona have been best friends since 4th grade, and back then, they hated each other, and would send each other silly, hilarious notes.  Carter was seriously the coolest guy.  Loyal to a fault, and very loving and sweet.  If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it.

Happy reading.

This is my eighth installment in my Man Crush Monday meme.  Since I read mostly romance, I thought I’d share some of my “book crushes” with you, and possibly introduce you to some new reading material.

My Man Crush Monday for this week is Duane Winston from Truth or Beard by Penny Reid.

Summary from goodreads.com:  Identical twins Beau and Duane Winston might share the truth or beardsame devastatingly handsome face, but where Beau is outgoing and sociable, Duane is broody and reserved. This is why Jessica James, recent college graduate and perpetual level-headed good girl, has been in naïve and unhealthy infatuation with Beau Winston for most of her life.

His friendly smiles make her tongue-tied and weak-kneed, and she’s never been able to move beyond her childhood crush. Whereas Duane and Jessica have always been adversaries. She can’t stand him, and she’s pretty sure he can’t stand the sight of her…

But after a case of mistaken identity, Jessica finds herself in a massive confusion kerfuffle. Jessica James has spent her whole life paralyzed by the fantasy of Beau and her assumptions of Duane’s disdain; therefore she’s unprepared for the reality that is Duane’s insatiable interest, as well as his hot hands and hot mouth and hotter looks. Not helping Jessica’s muddled mind and good girl sensibilities, Duane seems to have gotten himself in trouble with the local biker gang, the Iron Order.

Certainly, Beau’s magic spell is broken. Yet when Jessica finds herself drawn to the man who was always her adversary, now more dangerous than ever, how much of her level-head heart is she willing to risk?

Duane Winston is an identical twin – and Jessica James has had a major crush on Beau Winston forever.  A chance encounter with Jessica gives Duane a chance to spend time with her, and he takes it.  The problem – Jessica thinks she’s with Beau – because she can’t stand Duane.

Duane was such a sweetheart.  He seemed like a gruff kind of jerk, but he really wasn’t.  He had had a crush on Jessica for a long time, and I loved watching their relationship develop.

Very good book and book 2 in the series comes out tomorrow!!!

Happy reading and Happy Memorial Day.

Man Crush Monday #7

This is my seventh installment in my Man Crush Monday meme.  Since I read mostly romance, I thought I’d share some of my “book crushes” with you, and possibly introduce you to some new reading material.

My Man Crush Monday for this week is Tenn Jennings from Shaken, Not Stirred by Sawyer Bennett.

Synopsis from goodreads.com:  Casey Markham is a man-eater in a rut. Swearing off relationships may keep her heart safe, but she’s beginning to question if her casual flings will ever leave her satisfied. She’s wondering if it’s finally time to let go of the past and stop letting history control her future.

Bad boy biker, Tenn Jennings can’t get Casey off his mind. A chance encounter with the beautiful blond has left its mark, and now he’s determined to prove her wrong about everything she thought she knew about men.  It’s safe to say… Casey Markham has met her match. Sensual couple

I’m going off track here and actually making my #MCM the man from the book I’m currently reading.  Tenn is a biker-dude, single dad and all around good guy.  If you’ve read this series, you know Casey has issues with men, and Tenn has been supremely patient and tender with her.  He’s also a great dad – his daughter is awesome.  I absolutely love that this book is told from both Tenn’s and Casey’s POV.  Makes it way more personal.

I really love this series, and I’m super bummed that it’s over – but there was a character from another SB series introduced that has intrigued me, and I’m going to read the “Off” series now.  Here’s to you, Tenn.

Happy reading and have a great week!!
